Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. She was raised listening to classic Boleros from the past and traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana has a passion for tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. She was taught by her mother to sing, however she started intensive training in vocals through Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when he was a renowned Mexican opera Tenor. The training in music continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was a member of many opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer in traditional Latin American music at private occasions. as a music teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in various community-based projects due to her enthusiasm and love for music. Ana has also been a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly for the young generation in keeping the music vibrant.
